Stellenbosch goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke has described his outfit defeat against Simba SC in the CAF Confederation Cup as unfortunate.
The South African outfit narrowly lost to the Tanzanian giants in the first leg of the semifinals clash. Despite the defeat, Stellenbosch is not burying their heads in the sand and is already preparing for the second leg.
Speaking after the game, Oscarine Masuluke expressed his displeasure following his outfit defeat while eyeing qualification over Simba SC in the return leg.
“The game was good, but unfortunately we lost. But we still have a chance when they come to our home. Each team attacked the other, so for me, there is no better team because it is ‘Lion against Lion.’ It will be lion against lion, and another lion will come to our home to face another lion waiting for them there. Let’s wait for Sunday, and you will see,” Masuluke told the media.
The return match between Stellenbosch and Tanzanian Simba will take place on Sunday, April 27. In this match, the South African team will be in a chasing position, as the first game ended 1-0 in favor of Simba.
