CAF Confed Cup

The quarter-final draw for the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup has set the stage for compelling matchups, with defending champions Zamalek SC of Egypt slated to face South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC.

The draw, conducted on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at beIN SPORTS studios in Doha, Qatar, also paired Morocco’s RS Berkane against Côte d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosas.

In other quarter-final fixtures, Algeria’s CS Constantine will compete against compatriots USM Alger, while Egypt’s Al Masry SC is set to take on Tanzania’s Simba SC.

The first legs of these encounters are scheduled for April 3, 2025, with return matches on April 10, 2025.

Zamalek SC, having topped Group D, enters the knockout stage with strong momentum, aiming to defend their title successfully.

Their opponents, Stellenbosch FC, secured their quarter-final spot as runners-up in Group B, marking a significant achievement for the South African club.

RS Berkane, winners of Group B, will face ASEC Mimosas, the second-placed team from Group C. Both clubs have demonstrated consistent performances throughout the group stage, setting the stage for a highly anticipated clash.

The all-Algerian tie between CS Constantine and USM Alger promises to be a fiercely contested encounter, highlighting the strength of Algerian football in the continental competition.

Meanwhile, Al Masry SC’s matchup against Simba SC is expected to showcase tactical prowess and competitive spirit from both sides.

The tournament will culminate in a two-legged final on May 17 and 25, 2025, where the new champion of the CAF Confederation Cup will be crowned.
