DCMP had a mixed start to their CAF Confederation Cup campaign on Sunday, hosting Zambia’s Zanaco. The Congolese side managed only a 1-1 draw, after falling behind in the 25th minute. It took until the 78th minute for DCMP to find the equalizer and salvage a point at home.
Elsewhere in the group stage, Djoliba of Bamako also played out a 1-1 draw, this time on the road against Al Nasr. Meanwhile, Pyramids FC put on an impressive display in Nigeria, securing a 3-1 away victory, a strong start that gives them early momentum in their group.
Overall, the first day of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage saw a mix of results, with home teams struggling to assert dominance, while Pyramids showed the impact of effective away performances.
