The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the winner of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League will receive a staggering $6 million in prize money, underlining the competition’s growing financial stakes and prestige on the continent.

The announcement adds further intensity to an already highly anticipated final, which will see South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns take on Moroccan powerhouse AS FAR in a two-legged battle for African club supremacy.

The first leg is scheduled for Sunday, 17 May 2026, with Sundowns hosting AS FAR in Tshwane, South Africa. Kick-off is set for 16:00 local time (14:00 GMT), where the home side will look to secure an early advantage in front of their supporters.

The return fixture will take place a week later on Sunday, 24 May 2026, in Rabat, Morocco. AS FAR will host the decisive second leg at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT), with the Moroccan side aiming to capitalise on home advantage in their quest for continental glory.
