Pyramids FC goalkeeper Ahmed El Shenawy has declared the team’s full readiness ahead of their CAF Champions League clash against Renaissance Berkane, insisting the Egyptian side have travelled to Morocco with a clear mission — to secure victory and move closer to the quarter-finals.
Pyramids will face Berkane on Saturday night at 9:00 pm at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, in a crucial Group Stage Matchday Three encounter.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, El Shenawy said the squad is now close to full strength following the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations, giving the team renewed confidence as continental football resumes.
“With the return of the Champions League, our objective is to win away from home, secure qualification early and continue our journey towards retaining the African title,” the experienced goalkeeper stated.
El Shenawy also expressed his personal readiness for the encounter, underlining his determination to contribute to a positive result.
“I am fully prepared for this match and confident in my teammates. We believe in our ability to achieve our goal and return from Morocco with all three points,” he added.
