CAF Champions League Final: AS Vita Club Heads to Blida with Confidence
After a disappointing home draw in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final, AS Vita Club has traveled to Blida, Algeria, where they will face ES Sétif in the decisive return leg. The Congolese giants departed on Wednesday with a squad of 20 players, all determined to overturn the result and claim Africa’s most prestigious club trophy.
Head coach Florent Ibenge remains confident and optimistic, rallying his team to rise to the occasion in hostile territory.
“We are keeping our chances of winning the trophy intact and that is what we will do in Algiers. We will give our all and play for everything to return home with the Cup,” Ibenge told Radio Okapi.
AS Vita Club faces an uphill battle but remains hopeful of pulling off a memorable performance to bring the Champions League trophy back to Kinshasa.
