**USM Alger Set to Face TP Mazembe in CAF Champions League Final**
USM Alger and TP Mazembe are set to meet for the first time in African club competition, with the two sides clashing in the CAF Champions League final over two legs on 31 October and 8 November.
The Algerian side, one of the country’s most prominent clubs, seeks its first continental triumph, while TP Mazembe already boast four Champions League titles, having lifted the trophy in 1967, 1968, 2009, and 2010.
Midfielder Hocine El Orfi of USM Alger acknowledged the challenge ahead: “It’s a final, it’s also a date with history. We will have a golden opportunity to mark our time at the club. It won’t be easy against an opponent of the caliber of TP Mazembe, but we too are defending the colors of a great club. Now that we have reached this stage of the competition, we will do everything possible to go all the way.”
The final promises a clash of styles and two of the continent’s wealthiest clubs, marking a unique encounter in African football history. Both sides will be eager to make their mark as they vie for the prestigious CAF Champions League trophy.
