TP Mazembe announce squad for Medeama clash

TP Mazembe have named a 22-man squad for the CAF Champions League preliminary first round clash against Ghanaian side Medeama.

The Yellow and Mauve will play host to TP Mazembe at the TNA Stadium on Sunday, September 6, 2026 before the return clash a week later.

The encounter marks the beginning of both sides’ quest to reach the group stage of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.

However, TP Mazembe manager Slimane Raho has announced his squad for the crucial continental fixture on Thursday, selecting a strong group of players across all departments.

The squad includes experienced goalkeepers Marc Diouf and Aliou Faty, while several key players have been named in defence, midfield and attack as the Ravens prepare for what is expected to be a difficult away assignment in Ghana.

For TP Mazembe, the trip represents the beginning of another continental campaign as the five-time African champions look to make an early statement.

The Congolese giants will be hoping to return home with a positive result from Tarkwa before the return fixture.

Medeama, meanwhile, will be determined to make home advantage count and secure a strong first-leg result against one of the most experienced clubs in African football.
