The CAF Champions League kicks off this Friday with 52 African teams vying for the coveted title, with two exempt from the initial round.
Six former champions, including Zamalek (Egypt), Ashanti Kotoko (Ghana), Raja and FAR of Rabat (Morocco), Enyimba (Nigeria), and AS Vita Club (DR Congo), will commence their campaigns in the opening round, playing their first leg matches at home.
The action begins with three enticing fixtures on Friday. Raja Club Athletic of Morocco hosts Diamond Stars from Sierra Leone. The remainder of the matches are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
