Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan has been appointed as the referee for the CAF Champions League final return clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids.
The second leg clash between Sundowns and Pyramids will be held at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo on June 1.
However, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has settled on the Somali for the return clash and will be assisted by Kenyan Gilbert Cheruiyot and his compatriot Stephen Onyango.
Jendo Louis from Benin will be the fourth official, while the VAR referee is Bamlak Tessema from Ethiopia, assisted by Sudanese Abdelaziz Yasser and Cameroonian Karen Fom.
The winner of both legs will be crowned champions of the 2024/25 CAF Champions League. Whiles Pyramids chase their maiden Champions League title, Sundowns will be aiming to lift the trophy after several year drought.
Sundowns last won the CAF Champions league title in 2016 under then manager Pitso Mosimane.
