CAF Champions League Final: ES Sétif Cautious Despite Positive First Leg Result
ES Sétif took a solid step toward the CAF Champions League title by securing a 2-2 away draw against AS Vita Club in the first leg of the final. The result, achieved in Kinshasa, puts the Algerian side in a strong position ahead of the return leg next Saturday in Blida.
However, Abdelghani Demmou, the Sétif central defender who has recently returned from injury, is urging caution.
“It’s a tricky result,” he warned. “We’ll study this first leg to analyze both our strengths and weaknesses.”
Demmou emphasized the importance of mental preparation heading into the decisive clash:
“We prepared well all last week in Sétif, both physically and tactically. Now, we will focus on the mental aspect ahead of the return match. We have enough time to do that.”
With two away goals in hand, ES Sétif remains optimistic yet vigilant as they eye a historic continental triumph.
