Pyramids FC wrapped up their CAF Champions League Group A campaign with a commanding 3-1 win over Power Dynamos at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium.
The hosts flew out of the blocks, taking the lead on 17 minutes when Mostafa Ziko coolly finished to make it 1-0. Power Dynamos hit back almost instantly through Moses Shummah, who levelled two minutes later from a Kondwani Chiboni assist, but the response only stirred Pyramids.
Youssef Obama restored the Egyptians’ advantage on 33 minutes, capping sustained pressure with a precise strike for 2-1 before the break. After half-time, Pyramids’ control of possession and territory told again when Ewerton added a third on 59 minutes, turning in Ahmed Samy’s cross to put daylight between the sides. From there, Krunoslav Jurcic’s men managed the game maturely, rotating their attack and seeing out a confident home victory.
Pyramids now switch focus back to the Egyptian Premier League, where they host Ceramica Cleopatra on Friday, 20 February at 7:30 pm. Power Dynamos, for their part, return to domestic action in Zambia looking to bounce back from defeat and build on an otherwise encouraging continental campaign.
