Pyramids FC coach Krunoslav Jurcic has shared his excitement following his outfit massive victory over Sagrada Esperanca in the CAF Champions’ League group stage opener.
The Egyptian outfit made light work on Angolan side on Tuesday at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo, cruising to a 5-1 victory.
Goals from Mohamed Hamdi, Fiston Mayele, Ahmed Atef El Sayed and Ibrahim Adel’s brace were enough for the host to secure maximum points in the opening game.
After the game, the Croatian gaffer expressed his delight following his outfit flying start to the group stage of the CAF’s elite competition.
“I am happy with the performance and the result, but there are two points that I am not satisfied with, which are not scoring early and conceding a goal from the Angolan team.”
Juric then heaped praise on Ahmed El-Shennawy and Ramadan Sobhi for their outstanding performance throughout the game.
“Ahmed El-Shennawy is the best goalkeeper in Egypt from his point of view and he was at the peak of his focus during the match.”
“Ramadan Sobhi has great qualities and is adding value to his team, he is a great player”
He stressed that he will work on focusing well in the away matches against Djoliba of Mali and Esperance of Tunisia to achieve a positive result.
