CAF Champions League: Over 40,000 tickets for AS FAR vs RS Berkane semi-final game sold within hours
Ticket sales for the CAF Champions League semi-final first leg between AS FAR and RS Berkane have surged dramatically, with over 40,000 seats snapped up within hours of release.
The highly anticipated clash, set to take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, has quickly become one of the most in-demand fixtures of the season.
Fans wasted no time securing their spots, with even the premium VVIP tickets, priced at MAD 2,000, selling out almost immediately.
The rapid sales underline the excitement surrounding this all-Moroccan encounter, as AS FAR supporters move early to ensure a strong presence for the crucial first leg.
With the initial allocation already exhausted, attention has now shifted to the expected release of North Stand tickets, the only remaining batch yet to go on sale. Supporters are hopeful this phase will allow the stadium to reach full capacity and deliver a vibrant atmosphere befitting the occasion.
In line with CAF regulations, five per cent of the tickets have been reserved for RS Berkane fans, while the majority will be occupied by the home side’s supporters, who are eager to create a hostile environment for their opponents.
Both teams head into the fixture with plenty at stake. AS FAR will look to capitalise on home advantage following solid domestic form, while RS Berkane, competing in the semi-finals for the first time in their history, will aim to secure a favourable result ahead of the return leg.
The first leg is scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m (GMT+1) in Rabat, with the decisive second leg set for April 18 at the same time.
