Pyramids FC goalkeeper Ahmed El Shenawy has said his outfit is in Morocco to upset Renaissance Berkane in the third round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
In a high-stake clash, the Moroccan outfit will play host to Pyramids FC at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
Speaking ahead of the match, El Shenawy, who recently rejoined Pyramids from the AFCON 2025 has stressed his outfit ultimate objective is to beat RS Berkane to move top of the table.
“Our goal is to win in order to secure the top spot and get one step closer to the quarter-finals of the tournament.”
“The team is ready for the match after the ranks were largely completed following the end of the Africa Cup of Nations. With the return of continental competitions, Pyramids’ goal is to win away from home to secure qualification and continue the continental journey towards retaining the African title.”

Pyramids FC occupies first place in the first group standings of the African Champions League with 6 points from winning the first two round.
