CAF Champions League: Injuries ravage Pyramids squad ahead of Sagrada Esperanca showdown

Pyramids FC have been dealt with a massive injury blow ahead of their CAF Champions’ League group stage opener against Sagrada Esperanca.

The Egyptian outfit will play host to the Angolan club at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo on Tuesday evening.

And ahead of the clash, five key players of Pyramids have been ruled out, sparking a lot of concerns for manager Jose Gomez.

Pyramids is missing the services of Ahmed Sami, Burkinabe Blati Toure, Osama Galal, and Mahmoud Abdel-Ati “Dunga”, due to injuries.

Meanwhile, Nigerian international Sadiq Igola will not be available for the clash since he was registered for the Africa campaign.

Pyramids FC matchday squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shenawy – Sherif Ekramy – Ahmed Mihoub.

Defense line: Ali Gabr – Mahmoud Marei – Mohamed El-Sheeby – Mohamed Hamdy – Tarek Alaa – Karim Hafez.

Midfield: Mostafa Fathy – Ahmed Tawfik – Mohand Lashin – Walid El-Karty – Abdel Rahman Magdy – Ahmed Atef Qattah – Ibrahim Adel – Ramadan Sobhy.

Attack line: Veston Mayele – Marawan Hamdy – Youssef Obama – Dodo El-Gabbas.
