FAR Rabat coach Hubert Velud believes his outfit tactical prowess played a significant role in their 2-0 win over Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League group stage opener.
Goals from Ahmed Hamoudane and Khalid Ait Ouarkhane were enough for the visitors to snatch victory at the Stade Larbi Zaouli.
Speaking after the game, the Royal Army tactician at a post-match conference said, “It was a perfect match, the best for us this season.”
“The players were calm and disciplined and lived up to their confidence and expectations,” he added.
“I am very happy because the club deserved to win and because we were tactically at the top.
He continued, “Matches like this represent a turning point in the entire season. It is not easy to defeat Raja continentally on their home ground, we did it.”
“This gives us a great margin to continue on the path with confidence and optimism”
