CAF Champions League: Esperance winger Youcef Belaïli expected to be fit for Al Ahly clash

Espérance Sportive de Tunis winger Youcef Belaïli has set a timeline for his return to training following a lengthy injury layoff.

Belaïli, who sustained a torn cruciate ligament last November during the derby against Club Africain, confirmed he has completed his physical therapy and has now moved into the running and conditioning phase.

He is expected to rejoin full team training in the coming days.

The Algerian international is eager to regain match fitness ahead of key fixtures for both club and country, including the 2026 World Cup.

Espérance will face Al Ahly in the African Champions League quarter-finals, with the first leg at Hammadi Agrebi Stadium and the return leg at Cairo International Stadium.

The opening matches are set for March 13, 14, or 15, with the second leg scheduled for March 20, 21, or 22.
