The poor reception of Enyimba FC from Nigeria by their Togolese hosts ahead of their Caf Champions League return match. The Nigerian delegation arrived in Lomé but was reportedly not received by leaders of Anges de Notsè or representatives of the Togolese Football Federation. Additionally, they were accommodated in a hotel under construction in a suburb of Lomé, which the club described as the worst reception they have ever experienced in Africa.
This treatment follows similar conditions faced by the Togolese club during the first leg, where they were not provided with the promised plane to travel to Aba and had to continue their journey by bus. Enyimba FC expressed dissatisfaction with these conditions, suggesting an “exponential desire” from the Notsè club to win the match at all costs.
