AS FAR will reportedly face Pyramids FC in the first leg of their CAF Champions League quarterfinals without the support of their fans.
The Moroccan side is set to host the Egyptian outfit at Rabat’s Olympic Stadium behind closed doors.
A source explained the decision: “The Royal Army was penalized with a match without its fans in the previous edition of the African Champions League during the match against Pyramids, with the penalty suspended,” a source said.
“After being penalized with playing without its fans for two matches due to its fans’ riot against Al-Ahly in the current edition of the tournament, the penalty for the previous edition will be applied.”
The first leg is scheduled for March 13, 14, or 15 in Morocco, with the return leg set for March 20, 21, or 22 in Cairo.
