This past weekend witnessed the return matches of the first round of the African Champions League. Several prominent teams reaffirmed their status, with Zamalek dominating AS Douanes du Niger (3-0 in both matches) and Enyimba, another continental powerhouse, defeating Anges FC of Togo (4-3).
However, there was a surprise upset as Al Merreikh from Sudan was defeated by Uganda’s Kampala CCA (3-2).
