Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly will miss the services of influential trio of Wissam Abu Ali, Ashraf Dari and rising star Mohamed Abdullah when they take on Stade d’Abidjan on Tuesday.
The defending champions will play host to the Ivorian outfit in the CAF Champions League opener in Group C.
However, the trio have been ruled out of the much-anticipated clash to be held at the Cairo International Stadium.
Wissam Abu Ali is out with a metatarsal injury while Moroccan Dari has made great strides in recovering from a sprained ankle.
Young winger Mohamed Abdullah is also close to recovering from a tear in the anterior muscle.
Aside missing the Champions League clash, the trio are expected to their clash against Al-Bank in the fourth round of the Premier League, scheduled for December 1.
Meanwhile, they are expected to recover in time ahead of the Intercontinental Championship slated for (December 11-18) in Doha.
