The number of supporters permitted to attend Al Ahly’s crucial CAF Champions League encounter against FAR Rabat has now been confirmed ahead of Sunday’s showdown in Cairo.
The Egyptian giants will host the Moroccan side at Cairo International Stadium in the sixth and final round of the group stage.
According to reports in the Egyptian media, security authorities have given the green light for a significant turnout at the venue.
Media personality Khaled El-Ghandour disclosed that approval has been granted for 46,400 Al Ahly supporters to be present and rally behind their team during the decisive fixture.
The Egyptian outlet Al-Watan Sport quoted El-Ghandour speaking on his television programme Stadium of the Axis, where he stated, “4,400 fans of the Royal Army were allowed to attend the match.” This allocation ensures representation for the visiting Moroccan side as well.
FAR Rabat are expected to arrive in the Egyptian capital on Friday, with preparations already mapped out ahead of the encounter. The team is scheduled to hold two training sessions in Cairo, beginning with an initial workout on the day of arrival, followed by a final and more intensive session on Saturday to fine-tune preparations.
The highly anticipated clash between Al Ahly and FAR Rabat will take place on Sunday evening at Cairo International Stadium, with both sides aiming to close out the group stage on a strong note in Africa’s premier club competition.
