CAF announces prize money for 2025/26 Champions League winner
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the prize money allocation for the 2025/26 Champions League, with a total of $17.6 million set aside for participating clubs.
The eventual champions will pocket $4 million, while the runners-up are guaranteed $2 million.
Semi-finalists will each receive $1.2 million, with quarter-finalists earning $900,000. Clubs finishing third or fourth in the group stage will also benefit, taking home $700,000 apiece.
On the pitch, the competition will kick off with the Preliminary Round, scheduled for 19–21 September 2025 (first leg) and 26–28 September 2025 (second leg).
The Second Preliminary Round follows between 17–19 October and 24–26 October 2025.
The Group Stage will begin on 21 November 2025, setting the stage for the knockout phase, which is slated to commence on 13 March 2026.
