Ghana’s U15 girls’ team secured a 1-0 win over Morocco’s U15 girls’ team to kick off their campaign at the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship.
The four-day tournament has officially kicked off in Ghana today with all matches scheduled to be played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
In the opening match for the Girls’ tournament, host nation Ghana locked horns with Morocco, determined to secure a win.
The two sides put up impressive performances in both halves [20 minutes in each half] in a bid to get the edge over the other.
Despite the many chances created, only one goal was scored. A solitary strike from Jennifer Awuku propelled the Ghana U15 Girls to a 1-0 triumph, ensuring the team bagged all three points at the end of the contest.
The Ghana U15 Girls will return to action on Thursday for their second and third group games against Benin and Malawi, respectively.
