Ghana’s U15 boys’ team made a winning start to their 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship campaign with an impressive 2-0 triumph over Uganda on Wednesday, April 23.
The four-day tournament has officially kicked off in Ghana today with all matches scheduled to be played at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
In the opening match for the Boys tournament, host nation Ghana locked horns with Uganda, determined to secure a win.
The hosts, after setting up strong with an attacking lineup, managed to get the win thanks to a brace from exciting winger John Andor.
For his first goal, the attacker beat his marker on the flanks with pace, bursting into the Uganda area with real intent before curling his effort into the back of the net.
His second goal was set up for him after a goalkeeping error. He accepted the opportunity on a platter and equalised to complete a sensational brace.
Up next for the Ghana U15 Boys, the side will take on South Africa on Thursday before playing Algeria in their final group game.
