CAF AFRICAN CUPS: AL AHLY-ORLANDO, TP MAZEMBE-CS SFAXIEN IN THE FINAL; THE WHOLE PROGRAM

The return matches of the semi-finals in the African Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup took place over the weekend. Here are the results:

CAF Confederations Cup:

  • CS Sfaxien (Tunisia) secured their place in the final by defeating CA Bizertin, with Kouyaté scoring the decisive goal.
  • TP Mazembe emerged victorious against Stade Malien with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a penalty by Trésor Mputu Mabi. Mazembe had already won the first leg 2-1.

African Champions League:

  • Orlando Pirates held Esperance de Tunis to a 1-1 draw, securing their spot in the final with an away goals advantage.
  • Al Ahly advanced to the final after a penalty shootout victory against Coton Sport de Garoua (7-6), following a 1-1 draw in regular time.

Finals Schedule:

  • CAF Confederations Cup:
    • First leg: November 22, 23, or 24 in Tunis (Tunisia)
    • Second leg: A week later at the Mazembe stadium in Kamalondo
  • African Champions League:
    • First leg: November 2 in South Africa
    • Second leg: November 9 in Egypt

The unexpected final in the Champions League will feature Orlando Pirates against title holders Al Ahly, while CS Sfaxien will challenge TP Mazembe in the CAF Confederations Cup final.
