**African Handball Club Championship: Day One Results from Nador**
The 37th African Handball Club Championship got underway in Nador, Morocco, with several notable results across both men’s and women’s competitions.
In the men’s Group D, JSK of the DR Congo fell 26-21 to Egypt’s Alexandria in their opening match. Fellow Congolese side HC Police also suffered a heavy defeat, losing 30-10 to Moroccan club Hilal de Nador.
In Group A, Morocco’s Widad Smara defeated Rwanda’s HBC Police 46-28, maintaining a perfect start to their campaign. Meanwhile, Congo-Brazzaville’s ABO Sport beat Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly 29-15.
On the women’s side, Cameroon’s TKC drew 24-24 with DR Congo’s Héritage in Group B. In Group A, Angola’s Petro Atlético de Luanda dominated Kenya’s Nairobi Water 35-12, while Côte d’Ivoire’s Africa Sport edged Cameroon’s FAP 25-24.
The championship continues with clubs across the continent vying for continental honours, showcasing both emerging talent and established stars in African handball.
