French Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice have been dealt with a massive blow following injury setback to Burundi international Youssouf Ndayishimiye.
The 26-year-old defender is expected to be sidelined for several months after picking up an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury at training on Wednesday.
Ndayishimiye joined Nice in summer 2023 and has since established himself as a key cog to the team. This season, the highly rated defender has racked up 6 goals in 29 appearances for his outfit across competitions.
His injury come as a big blow for Nice, who are aiming to finish the campaign on a high note. Nice have struggled with injuries this season, derailing the club’s campaign
Just like Egyptian Mohammed Ali Abdelmonem, the Burundi star is set for a several months absence due to the injury.
The Egyptian suffered similar injury last Friday when his side cruised to a 3-1 win over PSG, ending the giants unbeaten streak.
