Burnley interested in signing French-Ivorian midfielder Michel Adopo

English club Burnley are interested in signing France-born midfielder of Ivorian descent, Michel Adopo.

The club is reportedly keen on recruiting the youngster from Italian Serie A side Cagliari.

According to transfer expert Nicolo Schira, the Championship outfit has expressed genuine interest in the 24-year-old.

Adopo joined Cagliari from Torino in 2023 and quickly made an impact, featuring in over 25 matches during his debut season. Known for his physical presence, composure on the ball, and tactical flexibility, the midfielder has emerged as a target for several clubs across Europe.

While Burnley have yet to make an official bid, negotiations could intensify in the coming days as they continue preparations to mount a serious challenge for promotion back to the Premier League.

Michel Adopo is believed to be open to a move away from Cagliari this summer but will not force his way out.
