Nabil Daouda Natama has been named FK Minsk’s Player of the Month for July, just months after joining the Belarusian club, marking a swift rise to prominence within the squad.
The 21-year-old Burkinabe striker, who signed with FK Minsk on 17 February 2025, secured 33% of the public vote to claim the monthly accolade, edging out midfielder Ilya Dabinets, who received 25%, and defender Timofey Simanenka, who garnered 15%. The results were officially announced via the club’s Instagram account.
Since arriving at the club, Natama has wasted no time in making an impact. His consistent displays, technical ability, and work ethic have impressed both supporters and coaching staff, establishing him as a dependable figure in the attacking line-up.
Despite modest statistics—one goal and two assists in 16 appearances across all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign—his influence on FK Minsk’s overall play has been widely acknowledged.
Natama’s contribution extends beyond mere numbers. His movement off the ball, link-up play, and tactical awareness have brought an extra dimension to FK Minsk’s forward line. In a team still building cohesion, the Burkina Faso international has emerged as a stabilising and energising presence.
Under contract until December 2025, Natama has been valued at approximately €75,000. The forward, who hails from Modré, has become a fan favourite in a short period, not only for his on-field efforts but also for his attitude and engagement with supporters off the pitch.
The monthly award is determined by fan votes, which reflect Natama’s growing popularity and recognition for his role in the team’s recent performances. His ability to stand out among his peers, especially so soon after joining, speaks volumes about his adaptability and potential.
For FK Minsk, currently navigating a competitive domestic season, the emergence of Natama as a reliable asset comes at a crucial juncture. With several key fixtures ahead, the club will be relying on players like him to maintain consistency and drive results.
As the season continues, expectations around Natama are likely to increase. His early success has set a promising tone, and the club’s supporters will be hopeful that the July award is just the beginning of a fruitful spell in Minsk colours.
While it remains to be seen whether his performances will attract interest from other clubs, FK Minsk will undoubtedly be keen to retain his services through the end of his contract. For now, though, the focus remains firmly on the pitch, where Natama continues to justify the faith placed in him.
