Burkina Faso will host Guinea-Bissau in an international friendly at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou on Saturday, March 28, marking the start of the Amir Abdou era on the field.

The match, kicking off at 6 PM GMT, is the first leg of a two-match friendly series during the March FIFA international window.

It provides both teams with a chance to test their squads and tactics ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.

“This is an important opportunity for us to see how the players adapt to my methods and to assess our preparation,” said coach Amir Abdou ahead of his debut on the sidelines.

The Stallions, Burkina Faso’s national team, will aim to assert their home advantage against a Guinea-Bissau side looking to challenge them on the road.

Fans will be able to watch the match live on RTB, the national broadcaster.

This friendly series represents a fresh chapter for Burkina Faso, as Abdou looks to instil his philosophy and identify key players for future competitions.

Guinea-Bissau, meanwhile, will use the matches to evaluate talent and build cohesion within the squad.

Both teams have expressed their intent to play competitively, despite the friendly nature of the fixtures.

The second leg is scheduled to take place later in the month, providing another opportunity for assessment and tactical adjustments.

As preparations continue, the Ouagadougou crowd is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere, supporting the Stallions in what is a highly anticipated debut for their new coach.
