It was on December 27, 2013, during his vacation in his hometown of Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, that Alain Traoré, a player for Lorient, fell victim to a robbery by around ten armed men. They stole nearly 5 million CFA francs (approximately 7,600 euros) from him. However, over a month and a half later, Traoré received some good news. The Burkinabé police managed to arrest two of his attackers, who were located through the cell phone they had stolen from the footballer. These arrests offer hope that the remaining eight perpetrators will also be apprehended soon.
