Ghana quickly responded, equalizing in the 30th minute through Joseph Narbi, bringing the first half to a close at 1-1.

Just three minutes into the second half, Tapsoba struck again, scoring his second goal of the match in the 48th minute.

His decisive performance gave Burkina Faso a 2-1 lead, a scoreline that remained unchanged until the final whistle.
