Burkina Faso international Hervé Koffi is set to join French Ligue 1 outfit Angers in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Koffi struggled to command a starting role at fellow French outfit RC Lens following his arrival in July 2024. He was brought in as a replacement for Brice Samba, who departed the club to join Stade Rennais during the January transfer window.
His unimpressive start to life at Lens prompted Lens to sign Australian goalkeeper Mat Ryan.
The 28-year-old shot stopper is now closing in on a move to Angers, having failed to command a starting role at the Lens.
The Burkina Faso international will join Angers on a season-long loan deal as he seek for regular playing time next season.
Lens, who last season avoided the drop, will pay a part, but not all, of the player’s wages. Meanwhile, there is no buy option included in the deal.
Koffi made just five appearances in the French Ligue 1 campaign and conceded eight goals across the period.
