BURKINABE FOOTBALL FEDERATION CELEBRATES 2014–2015 SEASON: JUSTICE PEPRAH KOFFI CROWNED BEST PLAYER
The Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF) held a grand awards ceremony to honor the standout performers of the 2014–2015 football season, with Ghanaian midfielder Justice Peprah Koffi named the Best Footballer of the Season.
Far from limiting recognition to top-tier stars, the event also rewarded achievements in second and third divisions, offering both prestige and meaningful financial incentives to encourage growth across all levels of the game.
Elite Clubs and Performers Honored
Top-performing Division 1 clubs were rewarded:
Coupe du Faso winner: USFA – 10 million CFA francs
Finalist ASFB – 7.5 million CFA francs
EFO – 5 million CFA francs
Racing Club de Bobo-Dioulasso (RCB) – 2.5 million CFA francs
These financial boosts were meant to motivate further excellence and stabilize club operations.
Structural Support Strengthened
FBF President Sita Sangaré, speaking to Lefaso.net, announced several structural improvements to support club development:
Division 1 clubs will now receive a 10 million CFA francs subsidy, up from previous levels.
The Ministry of Sports will contribute 2 million CFA francs monthly to each D1 club.
Division 2 clubs will benefit from 1 million CFA francs per month.
Additional efforts are planned to support lower-tier divisions “as far as possible,” Sangaré confirmed.
This financial commitment signals the FBF’s determination to boost the competitiveness and sustainability of Burkinabè football across all levels. The recognition of players like Justice Peprah Koffi underscores the federation’s dedication to both performance and professionalism in domestic football.
