As of Monday, October 14, 2024, four nations have secured their places in the highly anticipated Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Morocco 2025.

The competition will be held in Morocco, where the Atlas Lions, as the host country, automatically qualified.

Following Morocco, Burkina Faso became the second team to earn its spot after defeating Burundi 2-0 on Sunday, October 13.

The following day, Cameroon and Algeria joined the growing list of qualified teams, both securing 1-0 victories over Kenya and Togo, respectively, to book their places.

These four teams now form the early lineup for the prestigious tournament, but there are still 20 more spots up for grabs.

The AFCON qualifications continue across Africa, offering opportunities for other nations to make their mark.

The qualifiers are proving to be competitive, with matches taking place in various locations from Nelspruit to Paynesville.

The upcoming fixtures on October 15, 2024, feature a packed schedule, with countries like Ghana, Egypt, and Nigeria vying to secure their places in the tournament.

Exciting matches such as Sudan versus Ghana and Mauritania versus Egypt are among the highlights.

Angola, Egypt, Senegal, and defending champions Cote d’Ivoire will be securing their spots in next year’s tournament with victories on Tuesday, October 15.
