Bundesliga race for Bilal Nadir heats up

Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart are pushing hard to bring Olympique Marseille midfielder Bilal Nadir to the Bundesliga this summer.

The 22-year-old Moroccan is set to leave Marseille at the end of the season, with his contract expiring and no agreement on an extension in sight, making him an attractive free option for several European clubs. According to French outlet Foot Mercato and transfer journalist Santi Aouna, both German clubs are working intensely on a deal and are considered serious contenders.

Reports indicate Nadir has multiple offers from different countries, but the most concrete interest currently comes from Germany. The central midfielder is understood to be open to a move to the Bundesliga, which could give Frankfurt and Stuttgart an edge in negotiations. Last season, he featured in 28 competitive matches for Marseille, contributing one goal and five assists while showcasing his technical quality, creativity and versatility in various central roles.

Nadir already has 40 Ligue 1 appearances and six games in European competitions, underlining his growing experience at the top level despite his age.

His dynamism, dribbling and ability to break lines with the ball make him one of the more intriguing young midfield profiles on the market this summer. Whether his next step will indeed be in Germany remains to be seen, but Frankfurt and Stuttgart are currently well placed.
