BUNDESLIGA (7TH DAY): A SMALL GOAL FOR BAYERN MUNICH

The prominent teams appear to be keeping a low profile in the first day of the Champions League, likely influenced by their performance in the weekend league matches. Despite avoiding defeat unlike Manchester United and Manchester City, Bayern Munich displayed a rather ordinary performance against Wolfsburg in the 7th round of the Bundesliga. The team, under Pep Guardiola, lacked creativity, leaving their coach unsatisfied.

Despite their dominance, Bayern could only break the deadlock in the 63rd minute through Thomas Müller. Franck Ribéry, stationed behind Christian Träsch on the left side of the box, delivered a cross in front of the goal. Müller, making a decisive move at the far post, headed the ball into the net, securing the only goal of the match and granting Bayern the lead, a score that remained unchanged.

This solitary goal catapulted Ribéry and his teammates back to the top of the Bundesliga, drawing level with Borussia Dortmund. The next challenge for Bayern awaits in the Champions League as they prepare to face Manchester City on the upcoming Wednesday.
