Bukayo Saka relishes full match, eyes strong finish after international break
Bukayo Saka marked another milestone during Arsenal’s impressive 2-0 triumph over West Ham United, completing all 90 minutes for just the second time this season and reaching 100 Premier League goal involvements.
The 24-year-old winger, who hadn’t played a full match since Arsenal’s opening day victory over Manchester United, described his performance as a positive sign of his improving fitness.
“I’m feeling good that I’ve got the 90 minutes out of the way now. Towards the end, I’m a bit tired if I’m honest, but that’s normal. But, yeah, I’m happy to get the 90 minutes in my legs and get a win and go away to England, because I’ve had to miss a lot of games for the national team too. So, I’m happy to be back there.”
Reflecting on Arsenal’s challenging run of fixtures, Saka added: “We’ve had some really tough fixtures, some tough away fixtures. But I think we can be happy with what we have now going into the break, and we’re in a strong position to come back and push on to the end of the season.”
Saka’s determination and resilience are clear as he looks forward to contributing to both club and country after the break, eager to help push Arsenal toward a successful season
