Bukayo Saka hits 200 Premier League starts at record pace

Bukayo Saka has joined an elite group of Premier League players by reaching 200 starts at just 24 years and 239 days, all of them in an Arsenal shirt.

His career tally now stands at 224 top-flight appearances, underlining how quickly he has become a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s team since breaking through as a teenager.

With this milestone, Saka becomes the fourth youngest player ever to hit 200 Premier League starts. Only Gareth Barry (24 years, 38 days), Wayne Rooney (24 years, 76 days) and Rio Ferdinand (24 years, 163 days) reached the mark at a younger age, placing the Arsenal winger alongside some of the league’s most durable and respected names.

Saka’s journey began on 1 January 2019, when he made his Premier League debut as a late substitute in a 4–1 win over Fulham, shortly after first appearing in Europe against Vorskla Poltava in November 2018. Since then, he has evolved from promising academy graduate to one of the division’s most influential wide forwards, combining creativity, goals and consistency in a way that fully justifies his rapid rise up the record books.
