Gambian international striker Bubacarr Steve Trawally is set to embark on a new chapter in his career by joining newly promoted UAE Pro League side Al Orooba SC. This move marks Trawally’s return to the UAE, where he previously played for Ajman Club, spending two successful years before venturing into other leagues.

Trawally, 29, has recently concluded a brief stint in Iran’s Persian Gulf Pro League with Sanat Naft Abadan. Prior to that, he had a one-year tenure with Swedish club Hammarby IF.

His journey through various leagues reflects his adaptability and the broadening of his professional experience.

However, it is in the UAE where Trawally looks to rejuvenate his career and make a significant impact.

Expressing his excitement about the move, Trawally stated, “I am looking forward to this new challenge with Al Orooba SC.

Returning to the UAE feels like coming back to a place where I have unfinished business. I aim to bring my best to the team and help us achieve our goals this season.”

Steve Trawally is well-regarded in Gambian football circles and has been a standout striker for the national team, the Scorpions.

His return to the UAE Pro League is seen as a strategic move to rekindle his form and secure a spot in the national squad under the new management of Johnathan McKinstry

With a current market value of 650,000 euros, Trawally’s transfer to Al Orooba SC was likely influenced by his proven track record and the promise of his potential contributions to the team.

During his previous spell in the UAE with Ajman Club, Trawally showcased his scoring prowess, making him a valuable asset in the league.

His return is anticipated to bring experience and a goal-scoring threat to Al Orooba SC as they aim to establish themselves in the top tier of UAE football.

Reflecting on his career moves, Trawally said, “Every league I’ve played in has taught me something new, and I am eager to bring all that I’ve learned to Al Orooba SC.

The UAE Pro League is competitive and has grown significantly, and I am thrilled to be part of its exciting future.”

Trawally’s versatility as a forward, capable of playing both as a central striker and on the wings, adds a dynamic edge to Al Orooba’s attacking options.

His ability to adapt to different playing styles and his experience in various leagues are expected to be crucial for the club’s ambitions this season.

Al Orooba SC’s management expressed confidence in their new signing, highlighting Trawally’s experience and goal-scoring ability as key factors in their decision.

“We are delighted to welcome Steve Trawally to our club. His experience and proven track record make him a great addition to our squad.

We believe he will play a vital role in helping us achieve our objectives in the UAE Pro League,” a club spokesperson stated.

As Trawally joins Al Orooba SC, fans and analysts alike will be keen to see how his presence influences the team’s performance.

His journey continues to inspire many young footballers in Gambia and beyond, as he strives to make a significant mark in the UAE once again.
