Bruno Mendes: Guinea-Bissau forward joins F91 Dudelange on free transfer from Rodange

Guinea-Bissau and Portugal forward Bruno Correia Mendes has joined F91 Dudelange on a free transfer from FC Rodange 91. The 31-year-old centre-forward moves back into the BGL Ligue with one of Luxembourg’s most successful clubs after a season in the second tier with Rodange.

Mendes switches clubs with a market value of €25,000 and brings extensive experience of Luxembourgish football to Dudelange’s attack. Standing at 1.80m, he has spent much of his career in the country’s top flight and cup competitions, operating primarily through the middle as a centre-forward.

He leaves Rodange after joining them in summer 2025, initially returning on loan from FC UNA Strassen in January of that year before the move was made permanent at the end of the season. His performances there have helped keep him a regular presence in the domestic game and earned him this step back up to the top flight.

Before his spell at Rodange, Mendes represented UNA Strassen and CS Fola Esch, having first arrived in Luxembourg with Etzella Ettelbruck in 2018 following several years in Portuguese football. Across league, cup and European qualifying matches in Luxembourg, he has clocked more than 10,000 minutes, with notable scoring returns in the Coupe de Luxembourg and European Conference League qualifying rounds.

Mendes, born in Cascais in 1994 and eligible for both Guinea-Bissau and Portugal, will now look to add further goals and experience to Dudelange’s forward line after completing his free transfer from Rodange.
