Bruno Figueiredo: Ischia sign Portuguese-Angolan midfielder on free transfer from Zabbar SP

Ischia have signed central midfielder Bruno Figueiredo from Maltese side Zabbar St. Patrick FC on a free transfer. The 26-year-old moves into the Italian Serie D Girone G with a current market value of 100,000.

Figueiredo joins Ischia after a short spell in Malta, having moved to Zabbar St. Patrick in January 2026 from Canadian club Valour FC. His switch to Italy is confirmed for 7 July 2026 ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Born in Almada, Figueiredo represents both Portugal and Angola at nationality level and is predominantly a central midfielder. He is right-footed, stands at 1.73m, and has built his career across Portuguese, Canadian and Maltese football before this latest move to Italy.

His market value has risen in recent seasons, climbing from 75,000 while at Valour FC in May 2025 to 100,000 later that year, a figure he retained during his time with Zabbar St. Patrick. The free transfer to Ischia therefore brings in a player whose value has been on an upward trend without requiring a fee.

Before moving abroad, Figueiredo spent the bulk of his senior career in Portugal, featuring for several clubs including Amora FC, SC Covilha and UD Santarem. Those spells provided a platform for his first move outside Portugal when he joined Valour FC in February 2025.

Figueiredos arrival adds a Portuguese-Angolan presence to Ischias midfield options as the club prepare for the new Serie D Girone G season.
