Bruma linked with Santos move from Benfica

Portugal and Guinea-Bissau winger Bruma, who plays for Benfica, has been linked with a move to Brazilian club Santos.

The 31-year-old joined Benfica from Braga in February 2025 in a deal worth €6.5m and remains under contract until 30 June 2028. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported for a potential move to Santos.

Bruma has yet to play for Benfica in either Liga Portugal or Europa League qualifying this season. He has been listed as a left winger and has represented Portugal at international level, while also holding Guinea-Bissau nationality.

The possible move would represent another change of league for Bruma, who has previously played in Portugal, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Greece and the Netherlands. His career has included spells with Sporting, Galatasaray, Real Sociedad, RB Leipzig, PSV Eindhoven, Olympiacos, Fenerbahce and Braga.

He has won domestic honours in Turkey, Greece, the Netherlands and Portugal, as well as the 2019 UEFA Nations League with Portugal. His most recent club trophy came with Braga, who won the Portuguese league cup in the 2023-24 season.

Bruma’s current market value is listed at €3m, but Benfica’s asking price for any transfer has not been established. The rumour remains unconfirmed, with the winger still contracted to Benfica through June 2028.
