The Central African Football Federation (FCF) has appointed Bruce Abdoulaye as the new head coach of its national team. The former Congolese international takes over from Swiss coach Raoul Savoy, who was unable to guide the Wild Beasts to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Abdoulaye, who retired from professional football in 2017, enjoyed a career that included stints at Clermont Foot and Bourg-Peronnas. After hanging up his boots, he pursued coaching, earning his badges and gaining experience with Louhans-Cuiseaux in the French National 3 before moving on to manage the reserve team of Villefranche-sur-Saône in R2.
The Central African Football Federation is placing its trust in Abdoulaye to rebuild the national team and prepare for upcoming competitions, hoping his experience as both a player and a coach will help the Wild Beasts regain competitiveness on the continental stage.
