Brighton eye Bazoumana Toure in €40m move

Brighton are reportedly lining up a move for Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure as they search for fresh firepower in attack.

The Premier League club have been tracking FC Koln youngster Said El Mala but have been put off by a steep €50 million price tag, pushing them to explore alternative options.

Toure is viewed as a more attainable target, with Hoffenheim said to value the 20-year-old at around €40 million. He has also been linked with Liverpool, although the Bundesliga star is not believed to be high on their current shortlist. That could give Brighton a clearer run at the highly rated winger if they choose to step up their interest.

This is Toure’s first full season at Hoffenheim after joining from Swedish side Hammarby for €10 million in February 2025, and he has quickly made an impact. The exciting wide man has produced five goals and nine assists in all competitions, underlining why clubs in England are now paying attention. Brighton’s recruitment team see his blend of productivity, age and resale potential as a strong fit for their long-term model as they look to refresh their attacking options.
