Bright Addae: Real Aversa sign veteran Ghana midfielder on free transfer from Nardo

Real Aversa have signed Ghanaian defensive midfielder Bright Addae from Serie D rivals AC Nardo on a free transfer. The 33-year-old moves within Italys Girone H and joins his new club with a current market value of 50,000.

Addae, who was born in Wa, Ghana, and stands at 1.84m, has spent the past three and a half seasons in Italys lower leagues, most recently at Nardo. He had been with the club since December 2022, following a spell at Cjarlins Muzane, also in Serie D, and arrives at Real Aversa as an experienced, right-footed holding midfielder.

The move extends a long-running association with Italian football that has defined much of Addaes career. After leaving Ghanas Legon Cities in 2010, he joined Parmas youth set-up and went on to represent a series of Italian sides, including a substantial stint with Ascoli, where his market value peaked at around 900,000 in 2019. He later featured for Juve Stabia before a move to Romanian club FC Hermannstadt in 2020.

Since returning to Italy in 2021, Addae has played for Lavello and Bitonto before his transfers to Cjarlins Muzane and then Nardo. Over that period his valuation has gradually declined from six figures to its current 50,000, reflecting a transition from the higher professional tiers to the semi-professional level while maintaining a regular presence in Serie D.

By securing Addae without a transfer fee, Real Aversa add a seasoned midfielder with extensive experience in Italian football and a history of competing in Serie B, Serie C and abroad.
