Brazil international of Cameroonian descent Vinicius Junior is seriously considering Real Madrid departure ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has yet to cement his position under new manager Xabi Alonso, with recent outburst sparking speculations about his future at the club.

Despite delivering a top-notch performance, the pacey winger was subbed off in the El Clasico as his side cruised to a 2-1 home victory to end their losing streak against Barcelona.

Vinicius Junior was replaced by his compatriot Rodrigo in the 72nd minute mark, where showed plenty of dissent about the coach’s decision.

Acting surprised and launching a torrent of abuse towards manager Alonso, Vinicius stormed off, saying “Me?! Coach, coach!” as per The Athletic, as Alonso said ‘Come on Vini, damn it’, hurrying him off. As Vinicius stormed down the tunnel, he could be heard saying “Always me, I’m leaving the team, it’s better if I leave, I’m leaving,” Vinicius did later return to the bench, and was present in the melee at the end of the game.

Vinicius has yet to sign a new deal with Real Madrid, with his current contract expiring in summer 2027.

This season, the pacey Brazilian-Cameroon attacker has scored six goals and provided five assists in 19 appearances across competitions this season.
