BRAZIL-WORLD CUP 2014: SCOLARI INADVERTENTLY REVEALS THE IDENTITY OF EIGHT SELECTED PLAYERS

Less than 50 days before the start of the World Cup in Brazil, Seleção coach Luiz Felipe Scolari accidentally revealed the names of eight players who will be in the competition.

During a press conference at a university in Sao Paulo, Scolari disclosed the identities of these players before realizing his mistake.

“David Luiz has already been chosen… So he must have already been summoned, eh! Let’s go then: until the final call-up date, my captains are Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Julio César, and Fred. It is with them that I spoke in the strongest way during the matches we have already played,” suggested the former Chelsea coach before adding on the subject of Paulinho, Willian, Oscar, Ramires, and David Luiz: “I spoke with five players in London and told them I was counting on them.”

Scolari inadvertently revealed the names of: Thiago Silva (PSG), Julio César (Toronto FC), Fred (Fluminense), Oscar – Willian – Ramires – David Luiz (Chelsea), and Paulinho (Tottenham).

These players now have little doubt about their participation in the upcoming World Cup.

The coach is expected to officially unveil his complete list in a few days, on May 7.
